The Championship consists of a 7-round robin with the top-ranked 6 players, joined by last year's Champion (Freddy Gordon) and last year's Challengers winner (Bob Kane). 

The remaining players compete in the Challengers tournament, a 7-round Swiss tournament, open to all club members, of all skill levels. 

You are expected to play roughly 1 match per month, starting in November. Details of the tournaments can be found at the bottom of the email. Games will be submitted for Chess Scotland grading.
